Fitness is an important aspect of our physical as well as mental health. An athlete has to be mentally focused in order to play a sport expertly. But this is not achieved as sports is not encouraged much in schools and especially government educational institutions. Due to insufficient funds to support the talented youth athletes who belong to the disadvantaged section of the country. They go unnoticed and miss an opportunity to train and become professionals. Through the sport promotion initiative Aahwahan seeks to form teams and conduct tournaments to practice and encourage playing the sport. Awards are given to the best players and on winning tournament as a reinforcement to motivate the players.
Aahwahan Foundation decided to collaborate in this noble initiative by extending our support to uplift the youth sports culture for the underprivileged class at a regional level in Karnataka. The NGO for Health in Bangalore aims to develop the sports culture as it is an irreplaceable part of health. Aahwahan aspires to support athletes belonging to the labour class by providing them a platform with upgraded infrastructure as well as recognize the talent in youth for sports. The players who are exceptional can later earn their livelihood by teaching and playing the sport professionally. Regionally many sports are played and Aahwahan has tried to put their best foot forward in order to promote and support the sports culture in the state.
FREE EYE CHECKUP FOR ALL AGES
The eyes are the soul’s window to the world. Eyes is a
significant sense organ in our body without it we would not see the world and
it’ beauty. India is regarded as the blind capital of the world. Even though the
eyecare services have developed in the past years. These services cater to the
middle and upper class. What about the impoverished? Masses belonging to the
deprived section pay no heed to routine eye checkups as they feel it is
unnecessary. There is less awareness about how vision impairment can have a
negative impact on life. Vision issues among the needy can affect their
livelihood as most of them are engaged in physical labour and vision issues can
make them lose their employment.
