Our NGO Aahwahan Foundation initiated and organized a Free Eye Check-up program on April 17th, 2022 at City Central Library, South Zone, Kumaraswamy Layout Branch, Bengaluru for the people of the local area.
On that
day, around 9 AM, the program started. Many people from different areas came
for a free eye check-up. We have got 4 Eye specialists who gave their service
to this worthy cause. Firstly, the patients were asked to do registration for
the eye camp and were given tokens. After that, the patients were sent inside
and told to wait for their number. The patients went for the checkup based on
their registration numbers.
While the
eye check-up is going on, the chief guest gave a speech on how eyes are
important and how can we protect them throughout our entire life.
This
program is meant for only the socially backward classes of society. They
need to know how eyes play a crucial role in our life. It is important to
protect our eyes because the eyelids are particularly prone to developing skin
cancer. Aahwahna good ngo in bangalore can protect them by staying away from UV rays. Also, we have to wear
safety glasses all the time when we are working for long hours to get rid of
the dangerous particulars which are in the air. The eyes are the most important
sense organ in our body. We are navigating through our eyes. We can see how
blind people are facing difficulties to even crossing the road… so, we should
go regularly for eye checkups. Eat vision healthy food etc. To bring awareness to
the people about our main sense organ, we initiated this free eye checkup
program also distributed food for the people. The eye check-up program helped a
lot of people in realizing how significant their eyes are in their daily
activities. Initially, they were not aware of the importance of their eyes as
they all were from poor households. Now, after our camp, they at least got an
idea about the position of their eyes and how can they protect them from now
on. Ngo Aahwahan Foundation is one of the Best NGO for Health in Bangalore
After that, we distributed free food to the people that day. At that time, a lot of people who were sitting outside the library without food came to have some along with the patients.
Also, we,
the interns who were working there, ate with them in the City Central Library.
After all the registrations and the checkups were done, we closed the eye camp.
Finally, the Free Eye Checkup program became a very big success.
