Tree plantation drive:
Based in Bangalore, the Aahwahan foundation was founded in 2009 by an association of people who had the same values in their mind δΈ€ to work to better the environment by Tree plantation drive. We operate on other vital issues that need to be attended to. We propose for beach cleaning and run programmes for education, health and women empowerment; another sector touched by us is blanket distribution and integrated agriculture. An endless need for more soil, water, food and other resources pushes our system towards overall breakdown. Aahwahan foundation works to better this place a little for all. Due to the increasing exploitation of resources and population, we need to take tiny steps to make our lives healthier. Compassion and the hands at work are two things that have undoubtedly made us achieve the aim of our NGO, but we aspire to reach many more by our initiatives.
Initiatives are taken by us include-
● Tree Plantation Drive- we must preserve our mother Earth; even though enough damage is done, there is still the chance to make it a better place. Our initiative Green Revolution has enabled us to plant more than 1.8 million trees. Tree plantation drive is one of the great initiatives taken by us to restore the damage. As it is no hidden fact that we all need oxygen and all the critical resources from the plants and so it is essential, we give back to our homeland.
● Blanket
Donation- we organise a
blanket donation campaign every year in Odisha and parts of Delhi NCR. There
are hundreds of people who lose their lives to chilly winters in India. We
offer NGO jobs in Odisha, and we
need volunteers to help us serve people and their causes. Our volunteers help
distribute the best quality blankets and kits to the needy and homeless people.
● Women
empowerment, health and education- we all know that the 21st century is the century of
significant changes. The girls and women who are underprivileged and poor can
not afford primary education and medical facilities. Education is a fundamental
right, and every citizen of India is entitled to it. However, because of a lack
of awareness and money, many families skip this very integral part of a child's
life. We at Aawahan foundation extend child relief programmes, and one such
exceptional example is Aahwahan's child
relief Bangalore. The campaigns of women empowerment and health awareness
has not made an impact in a positive direction.
● Beach
Cleaning and Integrated Agriculture- since we mentioned before in this blog, we work to make
our home planet a better place. We also campaign for beach cleaning. Our
volunteers and workers have shown a remarkable improvement in the beaches like
Udaipur Beach in West Bengal. We also have run programmes to declutter beaches
in Karnataka and Maharashtra. We also extend our hands in helping the farmers
know about the seeds and fertilisers and the methods they can use to cultivate
their lands for the best results. We bring up affordable solutions to farmers
who are also easy and effective. Since more than 70% of India's population
depend upon agriculture, the initiative has brought in a lot of changes in the
field of agriculture.
