Organic Village with Aahwahan Foundation

Organic farming is a method, which includes growing crops and rearing animals naturally. The process consists of the use of biological materials, eliminating synthetic materials to sustain soil fertility and ecological balance. It reduces pollution and wastage by avoiding fertilizers, pesticides, and genetically modified organisms.

It depends on ecologically balanced agricultural methods such as crop rotation, green manure, organic waste, biological pest control, mineral, and rock additives.

As part of the community development program, Aahwahan Foundation’s dream is to create an organic village that would, over the long period, become a role model for sustainable farming across villages in India. With this quest in our mind, we have adopted a village called Kuntimaddi in Karnataka. Aahwahan a NGO in Bangalore working in Organic Farming to eat good food.

We have trained all the families living in this village to shift to natural farming without using any pesticides. Just one farmer following organic practices would not be enough. Everyone should be involved, only then can we improve the health of Mother Earth. We have declared the entire village as a “No plastic zone.”, and have mentored the villagers in launching dairy farming. The production cycle is based on the concept “Farm to Consumer, where the farmers produce is directly sold to the consumer. Eliminating the brokers boosts the farmers’ income. We are confident the success of this initiative would one day spark the next wave of revolution in organic farming across the country. Please support Aahwahan Foundation- Best NGO for CSR via CSR funding to get the things done on time. We need your great support.
