Aahwahan Foundation NGO for Health

How NGOs are helping India to battle against Covid-19?

Aahwahan Foundation has been at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic. Our volunteers have responded on a war footing, conducting door-to-door testing to identify Covid patients. We are collaborating with around 48 hospitals in Bengaluru and supporting them through the supply of PPE kits, oximeters, medicines, and testing kits. We coordinate with a corporate to set up the healthcare infrastructure in a hospital (120 beds – 30 beds with oxygen cylinders and 90 standard beds).

Reports of infection and illness among frontline health workers are mounting daily and we must protect the health workers who are working tirelessly to protect us. Gruelling hours and shortage in supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) and testing kits force them to make tough decisions.Aahwahan Foundation Is One of the Best NGO For Helth in Bangaluru India

The vulnerability of health workers is the most ruthless lesson of the pandemic so far. Patients’ safety, to a large extent, depends on the safety of health workers. There is an urgent requirement for oximeters, PPE kits, and testing kits. Primary health centres across Bengaluru and at the district level across Karnataka are reeling and there is an immediate requirement to ramp up the number of beds.

Aahwahan Foundation is calling on the corporate sector and other relevant stakeholders to support our “Safety of healthcare professionals and expansion of critical health infrastructure program” to ensure safer environments for the frontline workers and patients as well as the availability of beds to win the fight against the outbreak.
